THE DREAM -
THE WHITE PIGEON


Acts 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon ALL flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men SHALL DREAM DREAMS:”

I was never one given much to dreams beyond those which entail only a bunch of disjointed clips which never made any sense.

Very rarely will I remember any of these even long enough to tell, much less any so VIVID that I could never forget.

I can only relate this dream, first of all, by saying it is the only dream I ever had that I knew beyond a shadow of doubt came from God.

Although I refer to this as a dream, it had a nightmarish quality I can only describe as PURE TERROR.

As this dream began to unfold, what started with a sense of 'wonder' soon turned into pure HORROR.

As the opening scenes began, I saw TWO pigeons. One was snow 'white' and the second I can only describe as a 'dirty gray' color.

Their outward appearance was not the only difference I noticed. In their actions they were even more unalike.

The 'White' strutted about so, so proudly with unblinking eyes. Everything about his appearance and attitude said, “Look at me, I am white, I am SO BEAUTIFUL.”

In absolute contrast, the 'gray' moved about nervously, as if aware of some unseen danger.

I can remember thinking, “I wonder what it is that makes him seem so afraid?”

It was then I became aware of another presence. Off to one side I saw a LARGE WHITE BEAST, very much in appearance like a cat but much, much, MUCH larger in size. He had 6 toes on each front paw and the stare in his eyes was like looking into the face of Death itself.

Somehow, the gray pigeon was aware of this Beasts' presence.

“How strange,” I remember thinking, because I knew also the 'gray' had not yet seen the beast.

All the while, the white pigeon continued to strut proudly back and forth. I could see the PRIDE behind those unblinking eyes. “Unaware, unaware,” I kept thinking.

Closer and closer, the beast crept. The closer he came, the greater became the fear inside me. I wanted to cry out a warning but no sound would come out.

The gray pigeon became more and more nervous. Just as the beast drew close enough to pounce, the gray flew away.

My attention was again drawn to the proud white. Still he strutted. His unblinking eyes seemed to almost constitute a dare.

My sense of horror continued to mount as I could sense what was about to happen next.

SUDDENLY, the beast leaped from his place of concealment. In one single bound, he was on the helpless white pigeon. Helplessly, I watched as this great beast tore both wings from their sockets, blood gushing out in living color.

It was at that exact moment that I learned the 'real meaning' of the word, TERROR.

At that very instant, I heard in a loud voice, “No ONE, NO – not even the Lord can put back on the wings.” There was NO need to wonder just who's voice I had heard.

You talk about praying and seeking the Lord to know the meaning of this dream! For what seemed like several weeks, I could not stop this dream from invading my 'every' thought.

I would like to say here, it does NOT take God weeks to answer a 'fervent prayer'.

Although to me it seemed I prayed and listened, and prayed and listened, and prayed and listened, that's only half right. (I prayed and prayed and prayed some more.) The truth is

I 'never' stopped to listen. To make a long story short, the very moment I finally shut up 'shutting up', God answered immediately.

I heard God say, “Be quiet, listen, and write this down.” Our Heavenly Father has the most 'beautiful' and 'gentle' way of telling his children to 'SHUT UP'!!!!

God began by saying the white beast was

ETERNAL DAMNATION. The white pigeon represented those who are so cloaked in self-righteousness, in their own eyes, they can 'never' see any danger.

He then went on to show me the following scriptures:

Matthew 23:27, 23:24, and 23:13.

In that order. Why the latter first, I still do not understand to this very day.

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward(ly), but are within full of dead men's bones, and ALL uncleanness.”

verse 24 – “Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.”

verse 13 - “But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of Heaven against men: for you neither go in yourselves, neither suffer (allow) ye them that are entering to go in.”

You might be wondering, “Now just what have these 3 verses to do with the white pigeon?” Answer- both have an outward appearance of beauty, but are as good as dead on the inside.

If the proud look on that white pigeon could be translated into words, they would have said , “Look at ME, I am so beautiful and white. 'God thank you that I am 'not' like that dirty old gray'.”

Did you by chance notice something else? If the 'gray' had followed the 'white's' example, he too would have been destroyed.

Has it occurred to you to wonder exactly 'WHERE' that poor old gray went when he flew away? I did.

God showed me a beautiful 'SNOW WHITE' pigeon flying around and about God's throne. Guess who it was? It was the gray. He had recognized the danger and flew unto Jesus just as he was. He was washed in the 'Blood of the Lamb'.

There are MANY like unto the white pigeon today. They attend church (religiously) and are quick to condemn anyone and everyone who are not 'LIKE THEM'. These are those who believe they will be saved because of their good deeds. Their opinion of themselves seems to say, “How fortunate God is to have someone as wonderful as me in His Kingdom.” Equally as sad are the multitudes who are trusting in 'church membership' to get them into Heaven. These could well be described as, UNSAVED Christians. There are even 'entire denominations' built on the premise of being saved because they're better than others. No need to name names here. For out of the abundance of their hearts, their mouths speak. So many groups each believing that 'they alone' have the Truth which will save them. All who will not become like 'THEM' are not worth saving and deserve only damnation. Of a Truth, they demonstrate a 'form of Godliness' but their lives deny the power of God. The Church of Jesus has been commanded to love, to forgive, and to pray for 'all men' to be forgiven and saved. The Pharisees of our day have no time for doing any of these things. Perhaps because they are so blinded by PRIDE they can see only themselves.

The most difficult people in this earth to lead to a saving knowledge of Jesus, are those who believe they have NO NEED of anyone to save them. In the mind of a Pharisee, the entire universe revolves around THEMSELVES, not Jesus. God's Word describes these as “having eyes they see not, and having ears, they hear not.”

Most sinners 'know' they are sinners and have 'no hope' beyond the miracle of God's Grace. The very ones who need to believe the words of this article more than anyone are the very ones who will NOT believe one word written here. What then is God's purpose in this story? I suppose that it might well be it's God's way of warning to believers “do not BECOME as one of these.” There is nothing more beautiful than a New creation in Christ Jesus. In the beginning, Lucifer was also the most beautiful of all God's angels. Because of PRIDE, look at him now. Pride and Vanity are two things all Christians must guard against at all cost. Hear me, CHURCH. Beware the leaven of the Pharisees.

Only the dirty grays will be saved. God's reward for the PROUD is already written. That reward is exactly the same as The White Pigeon's. That reward is exactly what this dream was about-

ETERNAL DAMNATION.

If you love Jesus, then believe what He said.

He said, “The 'meek' shall inherit the earth,(partial)” , NOT the Proud!!!!!

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!
